Protesters aligned with advocates for housing stand off against CHP officers on Thanksgiving eve who have amassed to remove housing activists who have entered and “reclaimed” empty homes to owned by the state of California department of transportation (Caltrans) that were purchased in order to extend the 710 freeway but now sit empty since the scrapping of the freeway extension project.
